Pub team having a laugh?

So then, who do we think is going to be the first team this season whose fans will use the words \"Doncaster F***ing Rovers\"? West Ham anybody? ;)

Great opportunity for the drummers to show what they're made of for the west ham game. I think the tune could be funnny for people to la la la to, or \"jellied eels and pearly queens, jellied eels and pearly queens....\" etc  fits nicely.

Just looked at a couple of west ham forums (seem like a friendly bunch on 'knees up'):

f*** old trafford, its all about going places like the keepmoat stadium

Donny looks very promising for the seasoned drinkers amongst us...

am i wrong in saying doncaster is a seaside town?

sounds fun, atleast there's more variety in this league, seaside towns, north east, north west, west midlands, east midlands, east anglia, wales.

All the fixtures look pretty tough to me! Not only at the start of the season but the run-in too. Any team can beat any team.

Tough first 5

Doncaster away on my birthday - I have a woody in the sweats at the thought of this trip already!

It was all going so sweetly  :
f**king doncaster
was hoping for a weekend in the sun at brighton or blackpool

Just seeing Doncaster Rovers away fixture has depressed me enough.

\"The likes of Doncaster.\"

Bring it on.  Nothing to lose really: do the bookies expect us to beat West Ham?  (Nothing against West Ham, an honest club, but I'd LUV IT if we beat 'em.)

I still love that Gas fan's quote on the old N3 site:

\"I don't believe it.  Graydon must go.  We are Bristol Rovers, and we've just been beaten by bloody pub team Doncaster Rovers, for God's sake.\"

The post that spawned a legend.

Is anybody else looking forward to the coming season with a glint in their eye?

I can't wait, for some reason I'm looking forward to next season more than I have for the last couple of years.

Bring it on!!!!!!!!!

i think it's because we're back to being total underdogs, last season and the season before, obviously we weren't fancied, but we weren't supposedly the \"worst\" team in the league either....i prefer proving the bookies wrong ;)

How about some VSC \"pub team having a laugh\" T shirts?

Something a bit classier than some of the originals

Has anyone come up with a decent song along the lines of 'you're getting beat by the likes of Doncaster' yet? I'd love that to come out regularly when we're doing the big teams! :D

I think West Ham fans arrogance might out-do Leeds fans. I can't wait to see Billy score and celebrate straight in front of their fans.

At Elland road at brammal lane we sung \"beat by a pub team, you've been beat by a pub team, beat by a pub team\" tune of one team in Yorkshire, one John Ryan etc,.

Down in skeggy this weekend I met a couple who were hammers fans who seemed pretty enthusiastic about coming to Doncaster, and said they dont expect to win if were at our best

Normally a pub team has a fella stood at the side of the pitch with a dog ! On a lead if you're lucky.

We've got the dog and with recent events I think she needs putting on a lead.

sure its possible to find some bugger to nip round their local
with a meat raffel to help aid the pub team image.
