Have I missed something are you wierd in Yorkshire

Sometimes the stupidity of social workers in this country is breathtaking...

Aparently they tried to block the custody application of two children by their aunt because they thought the kids wouldn't cope with living in Yorkshire.. they claimed that as the children were from hampshire, they wouldn't be able to adapt to a different way of speaking....I would lol if it wasn't so pitifully stupid. What is better, to be placed with a family member who loves and cares for you, or to be shunted into the care system? Beggars belief doesn't it.

No wonder southerners are viewed with a tolerant distain up there..lol

So \"they\" can attempt to block a move to West Yorkshire from say Hampshire*** because they judge it as not appropriate and in the childrens best interest ... BUT ....if they are CORRECT and it is NOT in childrens interest....

...then why are they not acting on cases where Families are voluntarily making that same journey ? Surely they would have the same obligation to any young children in a family in the same way as if the children were being mistreated in any other way

*** I have stuck with West Yorks / Hampshire but this could be any combination of departure / destination points

I don't think we're being told the full facts here, must be more to it than that.

(Not like the Mail to hide some facts to make a story look more controversial!)

Exactly. It's the Mail. It says at the top of that story that yesterday as July 3rd but I still wouldn't believe that without checking a calendar.

That shit rag, given a choice between accuracy and a chance to make up a story about Lefties, public sector workers or dirty, filthy foreigners would not hesitate to veer to the latter. It's been the same for a century. This was the rag that printed the Zinoviev Letter. It was the rag that campaigned against Jewish refugees from Germany being allowed into Britain in the 30s. If an immigrant, left wing public social worker found a cure for cancer, the Mail would be running front page stories complaining about her not doing her proper job and hinting darkly that you can't trust the coons anyway. It is beneath contempt. Wiping your arse on it improves the content and aroma of the paper.

So I'd take the entire story with a couple of packets of Saxo.
