How far do you have to travel for Home games?
« on July 17, 2011, 10:20:04 am by graingrover »
It  might be useful for the club to know, from a sample, how far loyal fans travel from their home to watch Rovers at Keepmoat.
1 .What distance is your RETURN journey from home .

2 .How many times do you think you will do the journey this season?

3 .How long does it take you from home to Keepmoat usually .

    My answers .

       1  400 miles

2 (Season ticket until two years ago) ... now buying the 10 match multi.

       3  8 hours. ( live in Belgium)

Brian, why don`t you just get a season ticket under the club scout scheme/

A Cat a season ticket now is £500, I believe a 10 game multi ticket is £230, if I were to let you have the whole discount back for a season ticket, you could have the whole seasons matches to pick from for just £20 more, including the Leeds and west Ham games

Fair play travelling to matches from there!! :scarf:

It's a 20 minute walk from my house to the  keepmoat, theres a pub halfway between my house and the keepmoat aswell so i usually go there on a matchday.

It's a 15 minute (pacey) walk from my door to my seat. I will be doing the trip every home game and it takes me either 15 minutes to get home, or 3 hours depending on drink after game (be it celebratory or otherwise), although if indeed the Toad is now closed this wont be a problem any more!!

1. 200 mile round trip

2. 2 season tickets - will probably attend 15-20 home matches

3. About 4 hours

It's a bloody lifelong obsession !!

It was a hell of a journey for me if driving ( usually flew if possible ), by road Gort to Dun Laogaire , ferry , Holyhead to Doncaster ( clocked milage once, not including ferry 400 miles, 6 hours.( obviously double that for return journey ) Luckily or unluckily i am back in UK for a while now, so no consideration of journey required.

Season ticket a possibility though not a probability this season. Depends on work.

Hope to see at least half home games, but wont hold my breath on that one.

Filo ... I will give my options some more thought ... your offer is attractive . When I come to home games it will always be in company with one or another mate , from different parts of UK , so the multi ticket option gives us the chance to spend our match time in adjacent seats , which was always impossible when I had my season ticket.

The proposition also applies to your mates if they were going to buy the multi game ticket with you

about 90 miles round trip including puicking my grand daughter and her boyfriend up.

STHs so hopefully 23 plus the 3 away games I need to complete the championship grounds I need to complete the set..

Iusually get across in an hour but get there early so I can get away quickly after the game.
Usually back for 6:15 on a Sat. and 11:15 after a night game. I never leave before the end.
Felt like going during the Ipswich game though.:scarf:
