as indicated on his twitter account. Only logical reason I can think of him being there is for a medical before signing for us. Nuffield hospitals commonly carry out this kind of work. Wes Brown was in one a day or so before he signed for Sunderland. I've asked Rowan and he's responded to a tweet from me before so if he lets me know I'll let you all know.

Yep that would seem to be the case. He has just tweeted me back. Info was already out there as he'd put it on twitter himself  but seems I jumped the gun in my hopefulness on this site.
