Send the Armed Police out for the next few nights and give them licence to shoot out the kneecaps of anyone found looting, smashing up buildings / cars, terrorising hard working families / OAP's etc....it'll soon calm down.

Disgraceful scenes, and disturbingly close - one lot about 2 minutes from where I live, and another about 2 minutes from where I work. But what are the parallels between London and Libya?

Just the rioting. And I thought it sounded catchy.

I was going to walk to the shops to get some pudding, but they've been boarded up. The harsh reality hits home!

I see it is now spreading to other cities. Time for the army to move in?

I thought it was a Sealed Knot thirtieth anniversary re-enactment of Thatcher's 'Cities In Flames' summer of '81...

Just been watching BBC news at 8 looks like the 'MET' have lost it!!! its broad daylight and they try to take a junction with 7 men!!! sorry but you need 3 serials not one to take and hold a road junction providing you have secured the road behnd you.

I have got a sneaking suspicion that all of those bobbies on the street are thinking something along the lines of:

\"I put a foot wrong tonight and all the tospot 'do gooders'and hamshankers in the IPCC will have me strung up like 'Christ Crucified' let em get on with it I'm not putting my livelihood at risk.:headbang:

This is seriously worrying now, especially as it seems to be spreading to other parts of the country. Not to start a thread regarding race or anything like that, but is anyone surprised 95% of these protesters appear to be black or Asian? Some guy was on Sky earlier moaning about it was a result of non integration into our society.

I'd say it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour.

95% of these rioters (they not protesting, they're just looting and destroying) appear to be young and male. I'd find that far more relevant than the fact they are Black or Asian.

If thats the case, why are the news interviewing Race Relation spokespeople? Or maybe they are simply trying to antagonise the situation.

Knowing our media, probably trying to antagonise.

Well Mark Duggan the guy the MET shot last week was black and clearly heavily involved in the Gun/ Knife/ gang culture in that part of London,So that probably explains the ethnic breakdown of the group involved.

Watching the trouble in Birmingham and there seem to be plenty of white Tosspots involved.!

Although I made the 95% judgement from footage I have seen.

I just hope no one is killed, its a miracle no one has been.

We're dealing with two separate incidents here really.

Saturday in Tottenham was initially a peaceful protest that was demanding answers from the police in response to what happened to Mr Duggan.

Sunday and tonight has nothing to do with Tottenham and is purely mindless rioting from disenfranchised opportunistic groups who have no fear of the law and no respect for their communities.

Map of where the riots have been including the Birmingham and Leeds ones.

That's nothing. Seen it all before. It'll be spreading in London now because the opportunists know the coppers are busy elsewhere at the moment...

Nothing new in that unfortunately. If you remember it was a gun that started all the fuss in Tottenham last week.

Time to deploy the Army with live rounds, sort the braindead t**ts out, they want to play with guns, let them play against men who are trained to kill!

This sounds like it is spreading more by the minute. Very worrying. This will quickly spiral out of control. How long before joe public take matters into their own hands?

its got to be said but if this was football fans having a tear up the police
would go in heavy handed from the start.then get it all under controll asap.

because the looters in the main are of ethnic origin they police take a different
softer approach, this falls into the political corectness preachers laps.

the army need to be out and about on the streets of the smoke asap.

Especially as we all know how the Met have a wonderful record of shooting the right person and not lying about it afterwards. ;)
