Ruthless...something i've never seen in an England Cricket team. At the moment I don't think there's a situation where I wouldn't back them to win.

A lot is being made of whether they can win in the Sub-Continent. I don't see it myself, they are simply the best team and I would expect them to win whatever the wicket.

Another big up from me too. They hark back to the 80's side and the 70's, but I disagree as I cannot remember a team that looks as domineering as this.

The nice thing is, is that everyone can virtually name the England Team at this moment in time and the order they come in. Years of hard work is paying off, and to be fair the lads in the wings (or who come in) are simply making it an even stronger team.

I cannot see a player, possibly (and only possibly) bar 1 (Morgan) being dislodged from this current team/squad. It's a shame (though a nice shame) as there are some real quality players who may struggle to play at the very highest level. Infact I suspect our 2nd X1 would probably be a match for most countries.

Morgan is a 'victim' of circumstance' so to speak...as is Bopara, Prior et al. With 1-4 (icluding Trott when fit) scoring so heavily, 5-11 are on a bit of a hiding to nowt really.

Listening to TMS in the wagon the other day and they came up with an interesting fact. Anderson had gone in as Night**tchman, dropping Swann to 11. With that, England's No.11 had a higher first class best than England's No.1, Strauss.

Amazing eh ??

Another great series from the lads!Never thought i'd say it  but well done to the ECB as well. really starting to see the benefit of central contracts and not bowing down to IPL & twenty20 & 1 day money (the stanford balls up aside)and putting test cricket and the national side first.
I know its different but if only the FA could do something similar!
