Rovers U16 Disability Team

Just a quick shout out and well done to the newly formed U16 Disability Team.. played 3 games on Saturday morning at Barnsley Academy and won all 3. They defeated Rotherham 4-3, Sheff Weds by the same score and finally beat Barnsley 6-0.. . A brilliant morning and saw my boy get his first goal for the team..keep up the good work everyone(Marie and Sarah included)..

I also note that the U9s side suffered their first defeat of the season at Grimsby yesterday (I think this was their 7th or 8th game).  The side is managed by former Rover (and current skipper of Burton Albion), John McGrath, and has John's son, Leo's son, and Ricky's son in the squad.

This is a proper youth policy - trying to breed an exact replica of the 2003/04 squad.
