Published on Wednesday 9 November 2011 15:04 ROVERS chief executive Dave Morris has written to Ipswich Town officials to praise the club’s support of grieving striker Billy Sharp.Ipswich supporters stood and applauded Sharp after he put Rovers 2-0 up at Portman Road on Saturday, just seven days after the tragic death of his newborn son Luey.Morris penned a letter to Town counterpart Simon Clegg to praise the home supporters.He wrote: “I would like to say how much we appreciate your magnificent fans and the way they responded to our team, and in particular Billy Sharp.“Their behaviour and attitude was an absolute credit to football and to your club.”
