Hi guys,

I recently noticed we had released Jordan Bradshaw,

Anyone see him play? I heard he was a good prospect, i wonder if he quit the game after that,

Thoughts?

Joofy, when I read the thread title my first thought was \"oh another worth a punt thread\". I can't say I know who he is.

I'm surprised at this, I saw him play for the Youth team in the FA youth cup against Chelsea and thought he looked OK.

Bradshaw was/is a striker. He said he was surprised we released him, as we kept him on a month longer than the other youth players released from his year. Fell out with a coach or something (I can't quite remember the article properly), cos RO'K rated him quite highly, which added to his expectation of getting a professional deal.

I think you may be thinking of Brad Grayson - and he didn't fall out with Richard O'Kelly. I believe O'Kelly just thought he wouldn't cut it.

He was on the bench a few times last season. He was the youth keeper until this season I think. I saw him a few times for the youth team, in the couple of youth cup games they played at the Keepmoat vs Newcastle etc and he looked pretty good. It's a shame really with SOD being reluctant to give promising youth players a chance we'll never know if he was one with decent potential. He had to be worth a go at some point over Flappy Woods.

I thought he was a good young keeper, from what I had seen. Guess Maxted took over. I saw him in the youth team and am disappointed that SO'D released him. Looked a very good young prospect.

Seems a handy keeper to me, met him once and he seems a decent kid.

I asked a friend of mine about him and he rates him extremely highly. Lord knows we could do with a good keeper now the ever georgous Sully is getting older..

According to his Twitter feed he is off to the States this year- presumably to play football and study.

Just to add to the topic of the youth team rather than starting a new thread...it's unbelievable how many good young players who played in our sunday league system and ended up being picked up by Scunny, Hull and Rotherham to name a few. I've grown up and played with a few of them and I know our lack of scouting/poor standard of scouting over the years we've let slip a real few gems. I really hope Saunders can sort this out as he has promised! :scarf:
