Farewell from me
« on February 22, 2012, 02:58:09 pm by MrFrost »
I'd just like to say goodbye to fellow forum users before my account is deleted as I have been informed by silentmajority.

As you may be aware I didn't take kindly to bobjimwilly brandishing me a liar a few days ago in another thread. I have never lied, only tried to offer help and suggestions for the forum running better.

I have no been told unless I apologise to the forum moderators and the VSC for being negative and critical, my account will be suspended.

If this is what the forum has become, then I will be glad to leave. I may have been critical, and maybe argumentative at times, but my arguments have always been genuine and heart felt, and I hope, even if I have sounded negative at times, my posts have created good debate.

However, I strongly resent being called a liar, when it simply isn't true, and I fail to see why I should be made to apologise.

I have no doubt this post will be deleted, but I hope as many people read it, as it will be the last one I make.

:rtid:

Unless you do what other 'leavers' do, change username & avatar.

I may not always agree with Frosty, but if we all agreed on everything it would be boring. I didnt see what Frosty put, but fair play, you should stand by your beliefs.

I have not read the forum as much recently, and that trend will probably continue.

I've just observed a minutes silence before posting this. I suggest everyone do the same.

Yes they are.

Its bullshit like this that has convinced me not to renew my VSC subscription next year.

If Frosty is being deleted for \"refusing to apologise for being negative and critical\" then that is ridiculous.

However, I'm inclined to believe there's more to it than that.

I'm guessing that this has all come from the thread regarding the forum's recent downtime. If that is correct then that is a huge shame as it should not have even come close to this situation.

Some of the recent moderating on this forum has been very poor, though.

This is no longer a place for opinions and debate. If your view isn't what others think its a stupid post etc. :headbang:

The thing is, we dont have to agree with everyone and kiss ass to the powers above or DRFC. If you have a forum for publc opinions you have to respect that some dont agree and try to debate it in an adult manner, without resorting to personal threats or insults.

Oh but you must agree with the powers above! If you disagree with a decision made by the club or the management then you are a quite obviously Leeds fans in disguise, wishing failure upon the club!

I thought everyone knew that?!

I would like to start by saying I don't believe in censorship. There are  many many comments made on this site I don't like and if I feel strongly enough I will make my comments and this sounds like one of them.

I admit I am not aware of Frosties comments which appear to upset the powers that be. If the comments were foul and abusive then there is reasonable grounds for appropriate punishment.

I admire JR but no one is above scrutiny and criticism and that includes JR and myself, its a democracy.

I got locked in to a tussle with Silent Majority on a issue I was convinced he was wrong. He made comments I was convinced he was wrong and demanded an apology. The apology was not forth coming and nether party would give way.

Let us know what the alleged offence is and give him the right of reply so he can be judged fairly.

I have no intention of discussing this suffice to say we have followed forum rules and procedures. It is certainly not because his posts are negative and critical.
