I would start Oster, but if we do, we need another in midfield, I'd leave Barnes in and drop Copps to the bench.

I thought we looked a bit better when Oster came on yesterday. Think i would play Bagayoko rather than Piqq.

I wouldn't make too many changes. Bad as Saturday was, the previous 4 showings were impressive. Without knowing much about how Millwall play and basing my selection on my perception of Saturdays failings due to losing the midfield battle I'd put an extra man in there.

One of those attacking 451's where the wingers get more freedom than in a traditional 442:

Ikeme

Chimbonda
Hird
Beye
Spurr

Oster
Gillett
Barnes

Diouf
Copps

Picquionne

I know that takes Diouf out the centre but he covers a fair bit of ground anyway. I know Copps didn't impress on Saturday but for me he did more than Bennett. That said, I would like to see more of Robert at some point.

Personally I'd have Dioufy on the right, A.N. Other on the left wing with Copps playing in the hole.

Ikeme

Chimbonda Hird Bouhenna Spurr

Copps  Oster  Robert Barnes

Diouf  Bagayoko

Obviously when I say Bouhenna, I mean Beye... Just thought it time his name got mentioned again. Unsure about Oster/Gillet, I aint gonna go on 1 performance but it all depends on how we're gonna play it. If we need some passed from midfield then I'd go with Oster. ALthough it'd be nice if we actually HAVE a midfield this match!!

Obviously I'm naming the team in hope that Chimbonda, Copps, and Diouf can link up down the right like they did against Reading.

Failing that, I'm going down to the downstairs bar near KAT stand entrance cos it's only £2.50 a pint of Tetleys... cheaper than the water they sell up in the stand!

One thing for sure, we can't play Bennett from the start. We desperately need a game changer sub, and he's it.

Deano says we're going to play a different way and try different tatics tonight, so could be a few changes!

My god I can't wait, we are actually going to have tactics? I assume the different way of playing will at least be to be put some effort in which would be different to Saturday

El bencho for Bennett. On balance, he's better as an impact player. I'd start Copps despite his poor performance SatD. Just hope he turns up as Copps the unplayable! Must win tonight cos we'll get cock all Soton at the weekend. Am still off tho, even if it means a day of abject horror and despair......oh and peering into the abyss that is League One footy!!!!! As they say Donny Rovers are for life not just for Chrimbo or when it suits

The table at 10pm tonight...

P'Boro                    41
Bristol                    38
M'Wall                    37
Forest                    35
-------------------
Donny                    34
Cov                        31
P'Mouth                  27

That would look very promising for us in my opinion!

Don't know what to make of this 'tinkering with the side' talk. Personally, bar Saturday, it looked and worked as well as it's ever done under Deano and we have, at last some consistency, bar that Derby blip.

All it needs is a good rocket up many a backside, stop falling out on the pitch, stop spitting dummies out and show some spunk (is Woodsy still injured by the way?).

Copps needs to stay on that right side as an outlet and was drawn into the middle too much as it wasn't going right side enough. EHD and Fruit Pascal need to attack the right with Copps, as this as worked a treat recently, but seemed to be missing Saturday. Bennett and Tommy lad saw more of the ball than ever on Saturday and I feel we are more effective when we play more from the right with the talent and experience over there. The ball needs to be worked over to the right side fella's.

As the play is more right sided, it then draws more of their players over that way, thus leaving more gaps left and left central that Kyle and Thomas can exploit with how they play.

This is how we seemed to have played in our upsurge IMO and can lead to another right perishing good performance tonight
