Tremendous effort today

We really didn't deserve to lose and in that manner as well. Everyone gave it their all today, top effort by all. I feel really sorry for the players and Dean Saunders. Coppinger was a star, Friend solid at the back and the forwards all grafting.

I got a couple of texts at full time with people slating Saunders or the players and I wish people who don't go to games would just shut the hell up.

Totally agree mate. We played like we wanted it, and the players tried, there was effort all over the pitch. I can't ask for more than that as a supporter, if we aren't good enough then fine, I can take that, but not with laziness. Credit to the whole team today. I hope we can keep the nucleus of the squad together, if so I think next year could be very enjoyable indeed.

though we were outstanding for the majority of the match 100% effort from every player was clear to see. i am not even going to start on the referee because i could be here until next saturday writing about him as for dave kitson he is the poorest excuse for a footballer ever, diving , whinging , cheating just to name a few

Couldn't understand Saunders' decision to substitute Chris Brown while we were waiting to take a free kick from just outside the box.  he was our only target man and was causing Pompey problems.
