Financial Fair Play
« on May 13, 2012, 01:35:19 pm by roverstillidie91 »
Was just thinking cos with the rules they are introducing for clubs to not spend within their means that UEFA are introducing for all the big clubs ie barcelona man utd arsenal etc

with the fact the premier league have vast amounts of money compared to the likes of us

does anyone think it will make the gap even wider as with clubs in the football league have hardly any money as it is will have to spend 60% of their income or whatever on wages

or might it make the premier league see sense and spend less on wages

and also make ticket prices cheaper for everyone right from the premier league down to conference etc

It will restrict the top two divisions unavailable to any team other than the large conurbations who can attract crowds, or attract foreign dodgy money to buy their way into the Prem.

It'll screw smaller clubs too. Fair play is fine - but the consequence will be only the 'big' clubs or those with clever and rich backers will be able to compete.

I'm more concerned about this EPPP thing that the FL has 'agreed' to implement, basically allowing Premiershit clubs to hoover up the best youth players around the country for fixed prices, ie. peanuts. Another kick in the b*llocks for the 'have nots' of English football.

I see that some lower league clubs are considering abandoning their youth systems all together, they see no benefit in running them because of these new plans. All this in the name of Manyoo and co. being able to 'compete with Barcelona', as if anyone who isn't of 'armchair' persuasion actually gives a shit.

You would think with the financial fair play coming in it would entice teams to improve and invest more money into their youth policies to help england out and create technically gifted players such as spain do, yet they allow the big clubs to cherry pick the best players for next to nothing

doesn't make sense in my eyes

we all know theres a big chance of these players who dream of the pound signs and get big headed of never making it in their first teams anyway
