Does anyone know a 16-18 year old who is looking for an opportunity in sport? Doncaster Rovers Education Founcation have opportunities throughout the year. Below is some information on courses run at the Keepmoat Stadium through Doncaster Rovers Education Foundation. Contact DRFC EF on 01302 765890 for more information and to arrange an interview.

DRFC Summer Coach Camp (Pre-course course)  :scarf:

Based at the Keepmoat Stadium, you will have the chance to gain nationally recognised sport qualifications whilst gaining real coaching experience with our famous DRFC Community Coaching team. You will get the chance to complete the following qualifications; Sports Leaders UK L1 Award in Sports Volunteering and C&G L1 Employability & Personal Development.

As DRFC we like to look after our learners so by taking part in our summer coach Camp, participants will receive the following incentives over the five week course;

 •A 16-18 weekly travel pass
 •Match day ticket to selected Rovers games throughout their time at the course
 •Every learner will have a guaranteed interview for our DRFC Level 1 Coaching Academy
 •We will be running an all action residential which will be held at Kingswood (The Earth Centre)

DRFC Coaching Academy  :scarf:

 Course Structure & Content:
 September 2012 to July 2013 - 4 days per week
 
1st4Sport L1 Award in the Principles of Coaching Sport
 
The course introduces learners to gain the knowledge required that all coaches need to plan, conduct and evaluate safe and effective coaching activities in sport. It consists of the following 4 units:
 •Fundamentals of coaching sport
 •Principles of planning coaching activities in sport
 •Principles of conducting coaching activities in sport
 •Principles of evaluating coaching activities in sport
 
1st4Sport L1 Award in Coaching Football
 
Developed in line with the FA, this qualification helps learners to understand what is expected of a football coach, the standards of behaviour, and how you must be a role model to others. It consists of the following 7 units:
 •Young player development
 •Football club administration
 •RESPECT and responsibilities of game
 •Football for all
 •Planning and delivery of a football activity session: Part 1
 •Laws of the game
 •Planning and delivery of a football activity session: Part 2

Sports Leaders UK L1 Award in Sports Leadership

This award provides the ideal starting point for learners who wish to develop their leadership skills. It is a practical qualification in which learners must demonstrate their ability to lead others in simple sport/activity.
 •Plan, lead and review a sport/activity
 •Developing leadership skills
 •Lead activities that promote a healthy lifestyle
 •Fair play in sport
 •The role of the official
 •Opportunities in sport and recreation
 
C&G L1 Principal Learning in Sports and Active Leisure
 
The Sport and Active Leisure Diploma will provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to thrive in a constantly changing global economy to find career paths in sport.
 •The importance of an active and healthy lifestyle
 •The importance of participation in sport and active leisure
 •Introducing science in sport and exercise
 •Introducing the sport and active leisure industry
 •Working with customers in the sport and active leisure industry
 •Working with specific populations in sport and active leisure
 
NOCN Level 1 Sport Diploma in Progression
 
The qualification allows us to design courses that meet the needs of individuals and provide learners with the underpinning skills and knowledge that will enable them to choose the most appropriate progression routes for their needs. Units include;
 •Taking Part in Sport
 •Developing Personal Development Skills
 •Understanding Nutrition, Performance and Healthy Eating
 •Developing Group and Teamwork Communication Skills
 •Work Experience
 •Participating in Leisure Activities
•Introduction to Planning and Participating in Walks

Any chance of singing lessons for the lass who sat behind me in the West Stand for 5 years? Christ up above, it were like listening to a medieval monk trying to sing falsetto wi frankfurters stuck up each nostril.

Perhaps an incentive for youngsters wanting to do this - Thomas Cook I think it is offer a soccer rep role for anyone with level 1 coaching badges for I think it's July to early September.

If you know anyone who is 16-18 and looking for a career opportunity in sport/football, there is a 5 week coaching course which runs until 27th July, providing two qualifications & loads of opportunity to play sport.
