I've got to say when it happened I thought "well that was a poor ball forward for Paynter...oh its gone in! Wooooooo!" and afterwards I thought he had just genuinely messed up a long ball and somehow scored, but he says he meant it! I hope he did, but I'll need to see much more video evidence first...anyone got a close up of Cotts' face as he did it?

I did that in my teenage years. Two bridesmaids wouldn't be a problem for me, i'd think it more of a challenge to try and biff the bride on her big day. Maybe a bit of cunnylingo underneath the top table.

 I've just watched the Cotterill goal on player and it definitely looked like he meant to shoot, it didn't appear to be a pass or cross.

Assuming the pitch size is 110x73, its about 48 yards.
