We could not convert at least one of the ten chances we had to score.

Just looked at the ever reliable BBC stats.

Suffice to say that they were as ba-baa as ever tonight. According to the BBC the possession stats were 60:40 to Norwich at half time, and 52-48 to Norwich after 50 minutes. So, according to my maths, we had 6mins  of possession in the first 5 minutes of the second half.

Well the BBC saw fit to only show one of our half chances tonight, but at least 5 of Norwich's. Gary Woods looking to b hitting top form mind.

Don't the BBC possession stats give the last 5 mins?

No. They purport to give the average figures up to that moment in the match.

What they ACTUALLY give is a hypothetical figure generated by some over-worked junior reporter guessing what he thinks has happened, while he is also counting shots, corners, fouls etc, and writing the text commentary. In big matches they have a team of people doing this job and the stats may be quite accurate. In the lower divisions, they are guesstimates put forward to amuse the kids.

It was Dean who said we could not convert one of our ten chances not the BBC. See DRFC official twitter.

Point 1. Dean was frustrated because our players failed to take any of the chances we had. According to P. Goodwin he had given the players a rollicking after the game. He felt we could have got a positive result.
Point 2. The information was not gathered from BBC as other posted continued with, it was from official DRFC tweets.
Point 3. Although our defence appears pretty sound at this level, it was nice to read Shelton had a good game, goals return from midfield and strikers need to improve to win games. Dean I assume will be working on that to get improvements. It was good to hear from Dean that he was unsatisfied with our goal scoring attempts.
Point 4. You keep putting them up and I will knock them down.

It's been a long time since we had a midfield scoring goals like syers and cotterill are doing. Also brown has a record of one every other game doesn't he??

"Guesstimates" bad word that. I noticed the possition thing at the start of the second half. It's obviously just made up.

Syers as not scored in the league his two goals were in the cup. He was played in a different role for that game and had Copps to supply his chances.
Apart from the first game when we scored three, our next six games we have scored six. Average of one goal per game. Dean is not satisfied with our goals to chances ratio. So we must improve. Although this team is in its infancy to get more positive results and performances we must take our chances. Then we may see more supporters coming.
