Preston 1st goal
« on October 03, 2012, 09:29:47 pm by ravenrover »
I know my eyesight is getting worse as I get older but am I the only one who thought that the ball from the corner for their 1st goal curled out and then back into play?

No you're not.
I sit more or less in line and I was convinced that it did and commented on it at the time.
God knows what the lino was looking at.

The second was unbelievably bad marking, we were like chuffing statues and had no-one covering the front post or the area in front of it, real pathetic kids defending.

1st and 2nd goal. On the 2nd, how does someone who is 5 and a half foot beat 4 defenders that are all over 6ft? Free header!!!

All the goals were embarrassing examples of defending from a team that has looked solid and organised for most of this season. Can't blame the ref for any of them really, at least, not directly. I honestly think we lost our cool and our discipline because of the way Preston were played, and that led to our defensive lapses. It's unfair that Preston do that, yes, but we should've known how Westley likes to operate and been more professional in the face of it.

Because all our muppets were stood around discussing who to mark. We switched off and the rest is history. School boy error really
