Cotterill's been good but for me it has to be Jones. Last season, we had decent attacking players like Cotts but we didn't have any leaders like Jones, so for me he's made the biggest difference and is a shoe-in for player of the year already. The guy is absolutely immense, just what we've been crying out for for years.

Jones for me. And I'd go as far as saying the back 4 we have seen the most this season (Quinn Jones McCombe Spurr) would have kept us up last season.

Have you been out drinking since dinner time?

I agree with Noel, Jones and McCombe particularly have improved us enormously defence-wise and are a lot better than we had last season, so who knows, they may have kept us up.

Jones has to be the best of the acquisitions though, not necessarily for his footballing skills but for the whole package, leadership, strength, ability and never say die attitude.

Have to admit I use to slate Rob Jones at sunny when Billy use to run him ragged but credit where credit is due he has been top drawer.

He has added that grit we have been missing for years. He did not look happy with the doc when he tried to put his thumb back in place, I thought he was going to smack him

Bit of a tie between Cotterill and Jones. Cotterill has scored some beauties so far but Jones does give us that resilience at the back. Compared to last season watching this defence has been enjoyable.

When you say dinner do you mean lunch or tea ;)

Nah, I'm serious, think of all the late goals and goals from set pieces we conceded in the last 2 seasons that cost us points.

Solely on the amount of times our game has turned around with him on the pitch I would go for Harper, been by far the most consistent in my eyes.

Harper more consistent than Jones? Really Lee?

In my opinion yes, Jones has gotten better as the season has gone on but in the first few games he could only head a ball and couldn't kick for his life.

It's a tough one but Jones and Cotterill are two players who stand out above other players in our league, also think Paynter now he's starting to get going a bit could be a key player in a few months, great goal yesterday and he made a big difference when he came on, great movement he has.

Got to be Jones but Cotterill and Syers both deserve a mention - can we not count Husband? He did sign this season after all

Husband has had a great game every time he's played. Does anyone know why he didn't even make the bench yesterday?

I heard somewhere he's got a bit of an injury. Can't remember facts
