Unlistenable at the moment, crackly as f**k. Stevenage commentary nice and clear. Shame as I'd like to hear Viva.

EDIT: Seems OK now...

This is the clearest it's been for me for weeks/months. The first minute or two had some crackling but it's now clear.

The commentary from Paul and Glen has started very promisingly.

Filo - both you and Rob lost it in the last few minutes but mine remained rock-solid and clear. This would strongly suggest the problem is not with the equipment at Paul/Glen's end. They kept broadcasting. The problem would seem to be how the service providers servers handle/manage the threads for each connected subscriber. It sounds like something blips and drops a number of users, then re-connects them. That sounds like something that DRFC need to talk to the provider about.

Do you think so?! Sorry, but I am quite enjoying it. Much better, much more detailed than we have had.

Went a bit crackly just then (34 minutes) for about a minute but now clear again. No drop outs. Yet!

first timer here: i am listening on the ipad via the puffin app, sound is relatively clear but i get an annoying clicking noise every 10 seconds or so. glenn is pretty decent when he gets the chance to talk!

Glenn and Paul are doing a great job , why don't you like it Katesby ? They are both informed re. both teams and you do get a good visual idea of what is happening out there.

All working fine n dandy in Bulgaria.... commentary very good. Paul's infectious enthusiasm nicely balanced by co-commentator. Well done both, and thank you.

I was informed that they would play something during half time i.e. music, so that we knew there was n`t a technical problem, obviously not as they have just gone into silent routine at half time!

In all seriousness, I can`t understand why they just can`t leave the stadium noises playing, if you log on at half time, you can`t tell if we have problems or not because we`re greeted with silence

Is there any scope for advertising at half time? Source of income for the club?

I think you'll find it's public broadcasting laws. If they leave the mic open and someone swears down it (even if it's just accidental pick-up), they need to apologise. So if they're not there and can't hear it, they can't apologise. This can lead to complaints etc. Even if it's not their broadcasters who swear, they are responsible for whatever is broadcast. The only way they can keep it open at half time is to keep broadcasting, and I guess they need refreshments, loo etc.

That sounds like a great idea! 15 minutes of ads playing at half time, in my opinion it`s worth looking at

I would think the equipment is a bog-standard mic connected to an ISDN line. It probably is not 'advanced' enough to have pre-recorded media pumped into it. As regards music, it needs a licence to do that which increases costs.
