I am with you BJW cannot understand why anyone would want Clarkson's name on anything in the Keepmoat.

Unless perhaps a toilet was named after him.  Though even then I wouldn't want to give him the publicity!

I don't get why people want to claim Douglas Bader as someone from Donny. He wasn't. The link with him is extremely tenuous, he didn't spend long here and he hated being here.

I'm with you on this Glyn, but a couple put his name forward, which is why he's on the list.

Think the Ben Parkinson one is a good idea.. True classic Yorkshire grit which we should all admire! Think Leo should have his name put into hat too

You're showing your age now Glyn, letting that slip.
Douglas should never have confided in you !!!

Secondly, I'd like to invite opinion on giving the names a traditional English pub theme. My suggestions are; The Snod Inn, Tierney Tavern, The Albert Arms.... just an idea.
The SNOD INn
The GREEN Man
Andy RHODES & Crown
Alfie hALE House
The JeFFREY Horseshoes
TurnBULL & Bush

As above, Sir John Ryan should have more than a bar named after him!

I've voted for:

James Coppinger
Sir John Ryan (needs more than a bar!)
Sean O'Driscoll

Voting so far just goes to show how important THAT goal at Stoke actually was to most Rovers fans

Tierney, Bremner and King Alick get my votes. Easily. I don't think JR should be an option, he deserves much more than a bar named after him and I think it'd be a bit odd if we named a bar after him whilst he was still chairman of the football club.

By the same token I certainly don't want to see SOD get anything named after him when he could well be coming down here as an opposition manager in the near future. That just doesn't sit right with me.

Of course it was but in it's historic sense is it enough when there are so many wonderful players , managers and owners on the list.........imo it isn't. On that basis you would have to put Graeme Lee and James Hayter high on that list too as the 1st player to seal a major cup victory for us and to get us back to the 2nd. tier respectively.

What because I am always propping one up? I would happily put my name to a bar as long as it had a plentiful supply of vodka!
