bennett again
« on February 09, 2013, 04:49:05 pm by normal rules »
comes on , has a great chance to put the game to bed within his first minute and take the pressure off, fluffs it and they go down the other end and score.

most games have key moments, woods has made some great saves today and there have been some good chances for both sides but this was the key moment today, and could have implications at end of season.

Stop blaming Bennett ffs there were oodles of chances spurned in the first half and Bennett wasn't even on!

Bennet wasnt to blame? Harper dropped the bollock ? On a different day it would have been a different result ref played a massive part! O well MK Dons Tuesday hopefully we can get Humey back and be back to winning ways, weve surrendered a 6 point gap now so lets put 3 and 4 points between us and move on! RTID!

This!

and for any one wondering what Keegan brought to the team, you had your answer clear as day today, the midfield completely fell apart when he went off!

Bennett has the ability but he has just got to keep working hard in training, really hard. I think this is a transition season for him, its his choice to go down the right paths and maturity will follow.

Not sure how anyone can scapegoat Bennett for today.

We missed too many chances before he came on, and the defending for both goals was unacceptable.

Let's hope he's back soon. THIS, Norfolk, is why I defended Keegan so staunchly so far. Now tell me we don't need someone like Keegan.

Don't see how Bennett is at fault for the loss today when we conceded from a set piece inside 2 minutes, giving us a mountain to climb early on once again.

Complete rubbish; the kid isn't a striker.
We had Sinclair (a striker) on the bench & Bennett was his usual lazy, ineffective self.

Listening on Player and it sounded like Harper was having a 'mare'. Can we have Baxendale back please along with their other player Butler who seemed to be frustrating us in their defense throughout the 1st half. Quite frankly we squandered chance after chance ; just carried on from where we left off at Bury.

Re Bennett- I still think that with Coppinger back we should have cashed in on him in the window and used the money to sign a half-decent midfielder. As it is, he'll go for nothing at the end of the season.

He's under 24 so we'll get something for him as I understand it.

Aye but it won't be much I don't think. Think they value them based on their worth to the club they've been signed from, and.. well.

Agreed, that said I really hope Kyle took note of their second goal and how effective running at people at pace can be.

Fowler was at fault for the goal, Harper was heading out of danger and Fowler took the ball and ran back into the two players who harper was holding off.

But i think in all fairness Walsall worked a lot harder, had a bigger sense of urgency and was alot busier than us.

I'm pretty sure the Fowler incident was where he got chopped and they ended up with a corner. Don't seem to remember him being involved (and Harper's lack of involvement is what did for us).

I'm sure that was after that incident, fowler gave the ball away, it was in the Walsall half but break down in communication cost us possession, there was still a lot of work for walsall to do when they got the ball.

the post was not intended to scapegoat or opportion blame; merely to point out that kyle, for me, was central in a key moment of the game.

Fowler Didnt give the ball away, harper (who is dog shit by the way) took the ball off him and lost it.
