McCombe.

There's no doubting that he had a bad game yesterday as did many, did anybody else notice though he was struggling?  In the 2nd half especially he seemed really stiff as if he had a back or groin problem.  Nothing serious I hope.    :s

Playing for 90 minutes in lead diving boots can't help  ;)

He came on after the break and threw up on the pitch!

They pretty much danced around him after that. Also looked to me as though Jones was telling him to go off. Might be mistaken but he certainly struggled in the second half.

He and Jones too similar and teams have worked out that playing smaller mobile forwards against them pays dividends beavon from preston Valle from Crewe bishop/ajose from bury
Need to move spurr back into the centre with jonesy

Agree. I also thought Spurr had a bit of a mare against Brandy and Husband might have done better.

I noticed in the 2nd half Jones seemed to be crouching down a few times as if he had a problem as well.

I think he was just taking a breather.

Lets hope all are healthy and there isn't a big going round the camp.

Personally I'd play spurr at centre back with jones Tuesday and have Husband in at left back

The one thing we've always been on the ball with is fitness. That was the difference at Stevenage. We looked tired again yesterday. We miss Hume big time. I predict more misery on Tuesday 'til the dynamics is back.

It's obvious that our two centre halves will be in bother when we leave them exposed. The last two games we have conceded early and had to chase the game thus exposing the said players. It's not rocket science football.
