Back Rovers With Bet Butler
« Reply #1 on February 18, 2013, 12:23:45 am by bobjimwilly »
Rob Jones and the boys will have revenge on their mind when they travel down to the Broadfield Stadium to face Crawley Town in front of the Sky cameras on Monday evening.

A late goal from Nicky Ajose gave Richie Barker’s side a fortunate 1-0 win at the Keepmoat in August and Bet Butler make Town slight favourites at 8/5 to complete the double over Rovers, who are quoted at 17/10, even though the visitors have lost just twice on the road in League 1 all season and Crawley have only won six of their 14 home games so far.

Rovers are seeking a first win in four matches but hope to have a few of their walking wounded back in action in Sussex. The draw is available at 12/5 and you can back the score at half time to be 0-0 at 2/1.

Before our match at Crawley, the FA Cup takes centre stage this weekend with League 1 well represented. After knocking out Liverpool, Oldham are 10/1 to beat their great Merseyside rivals Everton while our opponents last Tuesday, the MK Dons, are 6/4 to get the better of Barnsley having knocked out Sheffield Wednesday and QPR in the last two rounds.

Brentford are 16/1 to win their fourth-round replay at Stamford Bridge having come within seconds of knocking out the European champions in their first meeting.

Not a strong bench at all, what`s happened to Robbie Blake?

This line up emphasises the need for a couple of loanees!

So no Martis or Blake?

Injured

Brown, Hume, Syers,Keegan, Griffin

That's seven players injured or not available yet Brian does not think we need loanees.

I'd have played Cotterill on the left. Get him going at Dumbuya.

When was the last time Dean put Wakefield, Ball or Middleton on the bench.

Get Husband charging at Dumbuya and he won't know what to do. I'd actually have given Bennett a go myself, but Hubby deserves his chance. Think we've got every chance of getting a good win tonight!

Not sure what point you are making here Steve. Are you saying Dean wouldnt have had faith in the youth?

And re: your post above regarding loanees, what Brian says to the media and what he thinks in private arent necessarily the same thing.  I'd expect to see a couple of new faces in very soon.

I agree Rob, I bet behind the scenes the management are doing all they can to secure loans, but hopefully the right loans.  Just because no more have arrived yet doesn't mean they wont...

I do wonder what Blake has to do to get a place?

I don't have sky sports and the bbc match page isn't updating (yet) apart from the league table showing we're joint tops again...

Pretty uninspired from both teams so far. Copps looks our best bet going forward.

We haven't turned up yet... Have we?

Fowler looks ok on the ball, Spurr has done ok and Cotts/Copps link-up has been decent, apart from that it's a bore!  :woohoo:
