On Doncaster rovers web site for fans to get behind the goalkeeper a certain mr wood's saying he is young and all keepers make mistakes thing is john if you know he makes mistakes at  the most important time of the season wouldn't it a good time to get a more solid reliable keeper who will be better than what we have

Because that would show a great example to the whole team wouldnt it.  Make a couple of mistakes and you're out.

Brilliant logic

I'd like to think BF or even RJ would've had a constructive chat the Woods since Tuesday and assessed his confidence level. If the kids shot get somebody else in, if they feel the mistakes will make him stronger stick with him.

I honestly think he'll come back stronger andy.

In my opinion if we drop him now (excuse the pun :) ) it would destroy his confidence even more.  Remember hes played in EVERY game this season.

I agree graingrover - for example, I am not a big fan of McCombe (I prefer Spurr at CB) but I will support him as he is part of the team.

The same goes for Woods.  By all means criticise mistakes, but he may well play a blinder next game.

Something for the keeper coach, Lee Butler, to work on with Gary.  Both the funbled shots in the last couple of games were head height balls.

No, I was just going through the coaching staff I knew of and the board members etc I could think of the names of  went completely over my head that he could have meant our captain..

Just to add to this, if Woods does suffer a temporary confidence drop, Maxted is more than capable of plugging the gap. Our keeper situation is looking good IMO.
