Which existing "bowl" stadiums have got transparent roofs?
What... The whole city
To recap then,To avoid the postponement of one or two games a season/improve the pitch we:-1. Change the alignment of the stadium2. Change parts of the roof to a transparent covering 3. Install solar panels to become more self sufficient on power and offset the cost of running heat lamps.4. Install and run undersoil heating5. Use mirrors to re-direct sunlight to where it's needed.6. Kick out any other sporting 'customer' who dare tread on 'our' pitch.7. Install artificial grass8. Send the groundstaff on a fact-finding mission to the Nou CampI think we should let Andy Thompson vote on his favoured option?
I seem to remember some discussion on this while the stadium was being planned. Around about the time they had to abandon the original 'floating roof' design.I think a clear roof would have been more expensive and wouldn't last as long. Perhaps a clear section above the south stand only would have been good.
What only pick one, dammit man we should be doing all these, oh yeah and while we are at it why can't we move the sun over the keepmoat ffs its like it's a difficult job to do
