If it comes to this...

...you really couldn't have scripted a better last game of the season if it ends up being the promotion decider.

The team with the best home form in the division at home to the team with the best away form to secure promotion.

We are on average winning 7.2 points from every 10 available away games which is an astonishing achievement. (Not quite as good as Clarrie Jordan & Syd Bycroft's lot - they got 8.7 points every 10 available away, but the fact that we are even comparing our current achievement to that national record shows how good we've been on the road.)

Brentford are winning 6.7 points from every 10 available at home.

They've lost only twice at home this season. We've lost only three times away.

Between us, in their home and our away matches, the two clubs have won 25 of 40 games played.

Immovable object against irresistible force.

I'm having 20 quid on a shite 0-0. And I'd take that result right now.

I'd rather it was all wrapped up by then. But agree with a 0-0 at the minute

It could turn out that we both need a point to get promoted together.
Now that would be interesting...

Is it too late for SKY to decide they want it on TV?

If it was to go on SKY, would it be good or bad, because I still think we at least would sell our allocation.

Brentford have lost two games at home all season, so, a draw would be brilliant.

I think if its a 3pm Saturday KO it won't/can't be on sky so they'd have to pull their fingers out and get the league to move all fixtures.

Please, please have it sewn up before then! Wouldn't want to go down there needing anything. And besides, I am in Cuba so I will miss the play offs.
And I was rather hoping I wold be able to celebrate while I was away!!

All matches on the final day have to kick off at the same time, otherwise some teams would know what they had to do to go up/stay up/make the payoffs before a ball was kicked, which would be unfair.

I have been thinking about it for a while and How about this situation,we are already promoted by then,BUT the last game is to decide who wins the league as champions?Just like our day out in Boston but with the added bonus of our opponents on the day are our title rivals!

Hope we have it done by then because I don't fancy another cheltenham moment but I've got a feeling we will already be promoted by then and needing to get something for the title with them needing to get a win for second place.

IMHO a perfect scenario for last day would be............

We are already promoted, Brentford need a point to beat Blunts to second promotion place......

Now that would be a win-win game with any result having its rewards   ;)

I'd rather we were up before then, and win the championship at the preceding home match...

I honestly think we'll tie up promotion AND the title with a win at home to Notts County

As a sub-plot to the Sheff Utd/Brentford race has anyone announced when this game will be rearranged for? Both have a few midweek games and it seems like Sheff U may have to play Saturday/Tuesday/Thursday one week.

Sheff U have been able to rearrange their Crawley game to the 9th so they now play Brentford on 16th.
