The £5 Million game - Brentford v Rovers
« on April 26, 2013, 08:49:49 pm by Guernsey Exile »
Thought we should get the doors open to the LP early for this one. So for all us stuck and not going the match why u here and what's your prediction?

I'm stuck in guernsey- , my boys 8 weeks old and I fancied listening to it with him here.

3-0 Rovers - paynter 2 and cpl celebrating his new contract.

Come on you reds

Nervy affair, with both sides missing good chances. Rovers to edge it 1-0.

Thought i would copy Neil's post from the main forum - Awesome stuff!!!
------

Without any doubt whatsoever, this is the best thread on this site all week.

It encapsulates everything about our fans, our club, our history. Everything I love about being a Rovers fan.

We can NEVER be accused of being Billy Big b*llocks. We approach tomorrow with a crazy mix of guarded optimism, indignant certainty, not-too-sure semi-confidence, and utter, gut-wrenching terror.

I would not swap my allegiance to this club for anything.

I am incredibly nervous tonight, but do you know what....?

I take complete comfort from one fact alone. If we fail tomorrow, if Brentford win, I'll be gutted. Totally gutted.
But I won't be gutted alone. If we fail, we fail together.

My despair will be shared with you lot -  you mad, sad, fantastic people whom I've never met but who share my pain as much as my pleasure.

And that helps me.
Because a pain shared really is a pain halved, whereas a pleasure shared is a wonderful, amazing thing which brings strangers together as life-long mates.

And if we succeed....well, no club knows how to embrace, enjoy, appreciate and celebrate success like we do.
Because we've earned it.

So, to you lucky, loyal, brilliant Donny fans who are making the trip to Brentford tomorrow.....I salute you.

We are with you, we feel your pain and your joy, and together we will prevail, because we are all Rovers.

Thanks for your kind words about my post Guernsey Exile.

You should read the stuff I write when I'm sober...!

I'm home alone here in North Yorkshire and I've signed up to Rovers Player just for the occasion.

My wife has kindly taken our 7-year-old daughter out shopping for the afternoon so I can enjoy / endure the match in peace.

Just pulled on my Rovers shirt, although I messed around for 20 minutes trying to decide which one to wear. The one I've worn all season, which got us to the top of the league?
But there again, I was wearing it when we lost last Saturday and dropped to 2nd....

Decisions, decisions.....

Sod it, I've plumped for the one I wore at Wembley when we beat L***s.

But I've got the other one standing by just in case...

Spurr a doubt?

Liam Hoden ‏@liamhodenDFP 1m
Bit of a worry. Tommy Spurr has just been put through a fitness test out on the pitch. Looks to be a groin issue. Not clear on outcome #drfc

A good analysis and very well written.
I wish that I hadn't let someone else have my two tickets now.
Oh well, onwards and upwards (I hope).
Sat at my pc in Bradford now waiting for player to start.
Come on lads one final effort, write yourselves into the Rovers pantheon.  :scarf: :scarf:

I'm on here, my two boys watching The Hobbit in the back ground.

One nil Rovers, Chris Brown. I am ever the optimist and I think Bournemouth will drop points today giving us the title.

That line-up looks fine to me.
Browny and Humey will get amongst 'em and keep 'em occupied.

Big challenge for our full-backs today. I'm pleased to see Quinny is back.

I'm backing Furman to get us a goal.

A stray kick from Neil Sullivan in the warm up has just hit Clayton Donaldson flush on the bonce. The big man didn't look happy.

Be quite amusing if Jonathan Douglas got done twice by the Rovers in real key games wouldn't it?
