I don't like them?

I'll hazard a guess that they've all knocked Rovers out of the League Cup (or non-league equivalent).

Come on Swints - you know me by now

It's a numbers thing.................  :chair:

Edit: OK as a further clue the numbers concerned for the above 5 clubs respectively are 8, 88, 16, 12 and 17

They've all been in the same division for the last 10 years minimum?

Might not be the answer but take out Accrington and it is true  :ermm:

EDIT: So it may be that they are all the longest serving club in their respective divisions, the top 5 leagues in the country?

Brilliant RA - spot on

The numbers above will be the number of seasons served in their leagues when next season begins.

I was extremely surprised Accrington will be the longest serving members of League 2 - shows how volatile it can be.

Your turn?

That's what initially threw me off! I too am surprised that they're the longest serving in the division. Doesn't feel like two minutes since they came up but I suppose it must be a few years now?

Exactly RA. Even more surprisingly the next 2 longest serving members of League 2 will be Morecambe (7) and Burton (5, equal with Cheltenham, Northampton and Torquay).

On the other hand 'big' clubs can seemingly stay in the Premiership for ever - 7 clubs will be embarking on at least their 25th consecutive season at the top level next season (Everton 60, Liverpool 52, Man U 39, Spurs 36, Villa 26 and Chelsea 25). Fulham are next longest serving and will be embarking on a very creditable (IMHO) 13th consecutive season in the Premiership.
