When I was a Lad football was played on Saturdays; so when you bought a season ticket you knew the saving per game you were getting.

Can anyone please work out how many games are actually proposed to be played on a Saturday the coming season as this is the only time I could possibly guarantee being there. So is a season ticket value for money any more.

If you can't make weeknights get a multi game ticket I'm sure it's usually 4 or 5 at home at a guess.

Google wasn't friendly but the problem you will have is that in the championship we don't play on "international Saturdays" so play more Tuesdays than a L1/L2 club. Based on last seasons fixtures you cold be looking at
(full season so half for home games)
33 Saturdays
11 Tuesdays
2 others (Easter)

Also keep in mind the Championship regularly moves one Saturday game to be a Friday TV game so consider how you are fixed for Friday games too.

As suggested above, multi game tickets are going to be very useful for some this coming season.

Playing on Tuesdays and the odd Fridays is not new. Vast majority of us have been attending night games since we started, some since games were in black and white!

As said above, there are many through other commitments are unable to attend every game and once you miss a couple then the financial benefit of purchasing a season ticket is eroded hence the move to introduce the multi-ticket a couple of seasons ago which gives you the option to choose which games you can attend and gain a pro-rata discount for doing so.

It's common sense really but, sometimes common sense is the hardest thing to achieve until someone can start a dialogue with the club to ensure the fans' needs are catered for.

Don't forget the odd (very rare) sky TV game will also see games moved. The season is actually starting early because Football League clubs wanted an extra game on a Saturday and not in midweek.

  Being over here in the States, I saw the benefits of different types of season tickets. I spoke to my old friend Dave Parker who suggested that the club take this up.

     Many people are in your position, work on Tuesdays but available on Saturdays. By buying a multi game ticket you can decide which games you watch and still save on paying match by match.

This system works very well in Baseball over here where a season of home games is 82 games, sometimes ten games in 11 days at home.  Very few people are able to find the time to go to every game and therefore the part season tickets became a very good thing.
