Holiday, other offers, still ironing out the last bit, waiting to see what else comes in, waiting to see what else we might do, waiting for agents to be available or even for some they may have a slight cut in terms and be waiting to as close to the end of their deal as possible.

Loads of reasons and I don't blame them, for a footballer it could be a big 2-3 year committment and they don't have the opportunity to easily move on like many of us.

Mainwaring is one of those quirks of the English language when it comes to pronunciation. Bit like Cholmondley - pronounced chumley, Towcester - pronounced Toaster and Siobhan - pronounced Chevaughan. Iwouldn't have it any other way ;o)

The signing(s) are the last formality. I'm sure there are plenty of verbal agreements between club and player but no doubt the paper work goes back and forth between the players representatives and the club, clauses to be ratified or amended here and there.

This is where Gavin and his staff are quite busy at the moment and I'm sure they don't want to announce anything until everything is in place.

Hopefully, as were are patient, good things will happen. Just wish they'd bloody well get on with it!!

I have heard on the grapevine that there are a couple of players ready to sign but there has been a bit of an issue with contract details. Apparently they have been checking on the forum to see what Rovers fans are like and have insisted that a couple of the bigger moaners are shifted out before they put crayon to paper. Sounds creditable to me but maybe the Mods know more?

Then if you are upset by a post then you should report it to a moderator and it will be looked at.
