David Beckham.

He want's to 'give something back' to football & what more fitting way than to sign for a 'small town club'. He know's that a season playing in the red & white hoops, would ensure The Keepmoat was full every home game thus increasing revenue. He would waiver all right's to franchise monies on goods bearing his name, including the No.7 shirt. He is all too aware of the media hype that would surround him joining Rovers & is at this very moment, discussing with JR how best to 'manipulate' this for the benefit of the club. Then of course we have Sky Sports hammering at the gates & throwing "loads a money" our way in order to ensure they feature as many of our games as possible to their little portfolio.

Oh, he would also play for no salary, cos he just loves playing football. Plus....he hates Leeds United!

Why have people got it in for Beckham, he's a fine ambassador for the game of football. Is it just possible that he's gone there to promote the game in a relatively untapped area of the world. He has more money than he wants or needs and I think is long past the point of being money-orientated. Not sure about his wife though.....
