Realistically thinking, Paul Green? Brian Stock? Richie Wellens? Dare I say it... Billy Sharp? O'connor was released by Derby. Can't see it being Sharp are any others realistic? Wellens on big money, stock not done much since he left and Green was first team last season. Unless she means Diouf ... :-)

I think it's Sharp based on that but realistically I doubt it is.

It'd have to be a knock down price or a very small % on wages.

I think this would most likely be Paul Green although it would be great if it were to be Billy Sharp. I've seen Green's name bandied around on that rumours site. Normally I wouldn't take much notice of that site but the move would be realistic.
I had heard ages ago that we'd been in contact with Sharp and I believe this to be true but it is a huge jump from talking to someone of Sharps price tag to signing them. It seems to me through things Dickov has said that Wellens might be a no go.
If people believe we have signed Forrester then it would seem strange to me (on the back of the De Val Fernandez signing) to sign another midfielder. Rumours Furman is close to resigning. How many midfielders do we really need? Harper rumoured to be moving to Bury/Scotish club linked can't remember which. Drinkwater who has also been linked is also a midfielder.
Only other possible favourite would be JOC i'd imagine but just a guess.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's a player, it could be a former player turned coach for example.

I personally know hes in constant contact with Billy Sharp, he rings him to let him know his transfer targets. And as I've said before, Sharp doesnt want to go on loan again, however, he'll come to Rovers on loan, as he knows we can't afford what Southampton want for him full time.

Saying that, it's probably someone like Green or Wellens!

Green, Sharp, Wellens, well the latter two would normally be beyond what we want to pay for a permanent transfer but we should all know by now, deals can be done.
