At least the image detracts from some pretty terrible text

The Glynn Snodin I remember playing for the Rovers was an inside left/left winger, not a full back.

It's not the best of articles, spelling his name wrong and putting in a picture of his brother. But I don't think you can compare Tim Ryan, much as I liked him, with Glynn as a player either. Glynn was miles better and if you are talking of Rovers' best left backs in that time what about Rufus Brevett and Terry Cooper, not to mention Tommy Spurr.

To go back further, what about Jack Hodgson and Lennie Graham?

I liked Spurr but surely I'm not alone in thinking that he was a steady 7/10 left back. Certainly not one of the greats and not irreplacable. Husband is naive at times and I prefer him in a more advanced role for now but he's got the potential to be an excellent full back.

Rufus, awesome going forward but defensively knew when to put it over the main stand.

They're doing an article next week on Tim Ryan.

The photo will of course be of John Ryan!

Eeek. That's embarrassing.  Did someone put Ketamine in the water cooler?
