He'll be forming a super striker partnership with Ched Evans in the prison football team

A sad state of affairs, such a waste.  Of course I'm not suggesting that he shouldn't be going to prison, more that it's a shame he felt it was acceptable to act in such a way in the first place.

I hope he can turn his life around after this, get himself sorted out.

Will that mean Kyle Bennett will be looking for new lodgings or will he be house sitting for 18 months?

He didn't plead guilty in which case 9 months
May do more if deemed a risk

Maybe he might concentrate on being a footballer now and realise the potential that he's pissing away...

Its a can of worms I know but as with the Bradford Child starver if he gets 18 months and she gets 15 years why is that not "IT"

They may be well behaved in there but they certainly were NOT well behaved in the first place - and committed offences that got them into Court and then into the Slammer

Its all a government trick to make out their hard on law and order whilst reducing the need to fund Prison places for the numbers commiting these crimes.
And it doesn't seem to matter which party is in power either.

Ruddy 'ell Naith you're very forgiving!

He sounds like a thug who deserves to go down.

He deserves it. Big chip on his shoulder. I hope he cried like a baby during sentencing - but I also hope he learns from this experience and becomes a better person for it.

Oh, and he's on 5k a week (£260,000pa) and he is trying to reduce his fees/compensation (about 2 weeks wages) ... give him another month in jail!

I didn't say that he didn't deserve it,  I jusy hope he doesn't fall into a cycle of re offending and getting banged up.

I'm pleased that he's been punnished, jusy hope he makes the decision to learn from it.
