As a fan of The Fall (you didn't know?  )  they've done some superb covers and some that are, well, not so good. My three favourites are below, but at the same time I have to cover my ears when I hear their mangling of R.Dean Taylor's Northern Soul classic "There's a Ghost in My House." And don't get me started on their lame reading of Hank Mizzell's "Jungle Rock!"

It took me a long time to fall(!) in love with the last one as I am a huge fan of the work of Nile Rodgers and the late, great Bernard Edwards. But it is a work that contrasts quite brilliantly with the original.

Bruce Springsteens cover of 'Raise Your Hands' originally by Eddie Floyd. He hasnt recorded it on album though but it's a good live song he does.

Within Temptation have just released a cover album from their Q Sessions, which is worth a listen.
