Can't believe no-one's mentioned the one and only Clownshoes.

And for a while, Brian Deane was known as "Bomber". After one of the myriad dreadful performances in our 87-88 relegation season, the lugubrious Goldthorpe 50 year old who used to come to the matches with us muttered, "Bomber? He wants dropping out of a f**king aeroplane."

I think he plays for Bury, John "The Shop" Lewis.

Mark Duffy has to become "Duff-Man"

"Duff-Man is thrusting in the direction of the top corner!".  It'd be a good celebration too!

Yep, I call him Duff man already! Yeaaahhhh, Duff man.

Joe Royle used to call Paul Dickov 'The Wasp' and 'The Pest' in his playing days.

Jimmy O'Connor was called 'Des' a few times.

Steve 'Bronco' Uzelac.

We'll say no more about how he acquired that moniker.

Must admit, I've already given Duffy the nickname "Tintin" (after the Brum-based singer of 1980s fame, Stephen "Tintin" Duffy.) Not sure if anyone else has, though.

Remember he suffered travel sickness and for a spell could not go on the Team Bus and used to be ferried in Directors Car ...

Steve Uzelac was not called Bronco, that was his father's first name, but spelled Branco.

There ya go eh. Ever since a lad at school told me the story I've been for 40 years under the misapprehension Steve Uzelac was called Bronco due to his alleged massive dong.
