In an effort to counter the negativity about the Leeds away game (prices). Can I encourage as many as poss to attend this game. I do not know how well advertised the prices are but adults are £12 and kids £7. Yes its on sky and yes its a fri night.

This is what football used to be about.

Night games.

Reasonable prices.

Plenty of room for away supporters.

DONT GO TO LEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TAKE 2 MATES TO BORO FOR THE SAME MONEY INSTEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Norfolk, away trips are great, and a wholly different atmosphere and a great way to support the team.

I may even take a half day on that Friday to go, at £12 a pop...

i like the idea of that advert .. both in support of Middlesboro pricing and anti Leeds pricing . THREE for ONE ..

Lets not forget that Middlesbrough are only doing this because the game is on Sky... their normal match day prices are akin to those we paid at Sheffield Wednesday. We just happened to get lucky that our game was picked for the TV cameras. This is certainly not comparing like with like when factoring in the Leeds game.

Let's not forget that 'Boro didn't have to reduce their prices, they are trying to encourage more people to turnout and deserve some of us to make the effort to go, as I will be because of this reduction. If the likes of Leeds don't learn, they wont be getting my money again this season.

I know they never, but the reduction in price will be offset by the addtional TV money that they receive.

I am not saying I am not grateful for it, and that what Leeds charge is right, I am just saying that people are comparing apples with pears.

The thread was initiated to generate some positive thoughts on what will be an affordable night out for many.

Would love to go to Leeds away. But wont be.

Yes, boro will offset the cost of the ticket deal with revenue from Sky but as has been said; they didn't have to.

Its a massive reduction too.

im spending weekend up there with 2 mates from donny, meeting up with someone living at Teeside university, cost me £38 for ticket and train up. so this trip has cost me £2 extra than it would for a leeds ticket. grateful to boro for the prices as i want to see more rovers fans there to make it a good night and personally the start of a good weekend away. we took over 400 away to crawley on a Monday night on sky with no reduction in price, if im not mistaken this was around February so it wasn't close to end of season where promotion was close.

at these prices we should be able to take at least 700-800 its only 1hr 30 mins away travel and tickets are cheap enough so lets not support sky but support DRFC at the riverside instead.

I would like to think there will be 1000+ at those prices. fri night games - for a lot of fans, have not lost their attraction. v nice ground too, easy to get too etc.

My mate, who is a big nufc fan is coming along as he is in the area and just wants to support rovers as they are playing boro (and he agrees its a bargain price for a championship fixture). Hes bringing his lad aswell. :scarf:

I would hope we can take well over 1000, possibly 2K plus, at those prices!

It is really good pricing and credit to them for doing so but they need to as their attendances are very low for them with like 20,000 empty seats so they needed to do something so that fans go instead of watching it on sky. Also I see they have got James Arthur performing at half time to try and get a few more people to the game.

Middlesbrough
2 x tickets = £24
B&B = £49
Total = £73

Leeds 2 x Tickets = £72
Total = NOTHING I'M NOT GOING

Is anyone else really bored of hearing about the Leeds prices? We don't play them for months, dread to think what it will be like when March comes round.

It's very good pricing getting there on the A1 Friday evening will not be quick. Getting from the M18 to A1 is very busy at 3/4pm onwards and is like a car park more often than not. So leaving Keepmoat at 4.30pm and heading that direction will affect travel times.

Not alot Of you will know This, that back in the mid 1980s there was a close bond between a mob Of boro lads from stockton and lads from doncaster that were all like minded

They came down to pubcaster a few times and were put up for the weekend all over parts Of donny,as were we When we ever went upto Their neck Of the woods.

they would say that donny was the best nite out ever and loved it
