Brazil.......
« on October 16, 2013, 02:42:41 pm by not on facebook »
packed in watching England after the world cup in germany as i was type Of put off.

Was thinking would i have gone out to Brazil if i was still in the
Loop watching England away.

Looking at the prices you are going to need at least £5000 if not more
For the first two weeks and Thats on the cheap before you Get a drink.

Think i would have given This one a miss tbh.

Match Tickets should be piss easy to come by via the locals

Obviously the prices will soar during the World Cup, but I went to Rio for Carnival earlier this year, and even though prices significantly increased from a few days before the Carnival period, it was still very reasonably priced.

If anyone is thinking of going and staying in Rio, I can highly recommend the Botofogo area, it is lively yet you can relax, and isn't very far from Ipenema and Copacabana.

Rio is one of the best places I have ever visited, going out there for the WC would be awesome, however, I don't think I can justify it having been this year. Too much of the world to see to go back to the same place within 18 months!

Rio is definitely on my "to do" list as everyone who has been, seems to rate it very highly and to go upto the Christ the Redeemer statue to overlook the whole area. I won't be going for the WC though, whatever prices they may be charging, I will watch the matches back here in Donny.

Anyone who does go out there though next year, then I'm sure it will be a spectacle and a half and a great carnival atmosphere.

£1000 just to fly there can't see there being many people were put off going to Ukraine because that was expensive but that was probably half the price it's going to be in Brazil.

France 2016 looks the likeliest for me.

Been all over europe with England and a prem Club following tje football.

And one city has left a lasting impression on me and that was moscow.

Was out there about 10 years back for a CL game against cska moscow.

I was taken back by red square on how small it was,the moscow underground just left me speachless .

Best thing about the 5 day jaunt was that no fcuker in moscow spoke
English and you had to Get by via yer wits.all the signs were in russian
And no english underneath to translate.

The citys roads and walkways were spotless as Even When a leaf hit the deck from a tree or gust Of Wind there was road sweepers fighting each
Other to sweep up the leaf.

Dont try to jib the moscow underground as you will soon have and army Of sercruity around you  all Blowing whistles making sure you pay.

Its the only city i have Been to When Leaving moscow AirPort as thr plane flew off the tarmac i sat back i said to my sen ....fcuk i have Been somewhere....due to the history you can see just by looking up at moscow
Roof tops

I once shared a house with five Brazillains. None of them gave a **** about football. Brazil is a huge nation though.

Christ the Redeemer is totally underwhelming.

I will take them comments on board when I get round to going and it could well end up being underwhelming. I know someone who visited the Great Wall Of China and they say that is underwhelming too because all of the tourists are basically in one area.

Christ, if you're underwhelmed by the Great Wall then there's not much hope for you. Incredible thing, absolutely mindblowing.

Christ the Redeemer is totally underwhelming.

Is that a line from the Qur'an?
