Been to Braca about 3times Now with the football and it is a good drink.

One Word Of warning that you should take on board,When going pub to pub down or up the ramblas Stay Well clear Of any hookers .reason is that
They are the best pick pockets by a country mile on any main street Throu europe.

They will allways Target drunk lads by working on Their own or in Two's.
One will put Their hand down Your nuts while you are taken back and the other will dip Your pockets .you wont know that you have Been done untill it Your turn to Get the beers in.

Also take extra care When you use Your mobile phone as i have seen small
African pricks bascially run and jump up and snatch phones from blokes hands while they use the phonr

Dont Expect any Help from local Police should any Of above should happen as i have witnessed with my own eyes all This happening while Police just Stood back taking no action.

A bottle Of beer in the bar that is down near the plattform Of the tube station that is on ramblas is  2euros a bottle, while in the bars up top on street level you can pay Owt from 5,6,7, or 8 Euros per bottle.

After the bars have shut you will see shit Loads Of africans selling Cans Of beer from whiteplastic bags.stay Well clear as they are bad news too

Apart from all above...... Enjoy

I've been to both and Madrid is my favourite, both are good but Madrid is a lot cheaper and more laid back, although if you're going on a stag do that might not be what you want! Word of warning on the football though, they don't confirm kick off times in Spain until about 10 days before, so the match you choose could end up being at any time on Saturday, Sunday or Monday so just make sure you factor this in when you're deciding how long to stay for. Last time I went to Madrid I watched Rayo Vallecano at noon and then Atletico at 19:00, a great football day!

Must play hell if Your running Coaches for away games.

Saying that there is no massive culture for away fans in spain i Belive.

As Barca gets it hands down for me everytime Now.i guess Its my age.

But best city i have had a couple Of nights in has to be Sevilla.two footy teams one bull ring and When i went the city centre Seemed very very very safe,Well the part we was all in.

I have copied this from an earlier thread.

Madrid is great for a stag do.
Bars for stags..
One bar "La Fontana de Oro" bands and music upstairs, tables downstairs lots of Spanish as well as tourists and its open till 6am. It often comes up as being "the best bar you have been in" in pub conversations.  Also O'Neils round the corner massive place with music as well.

Also try Plaza St Anna for "proper" Madrid nightlife. Older crowd but great food and cheap beer for the area.

Real Madrid tour always good and you can usually get tickets for any game apart from the Barcelona one.

As Dave says Watch out for the kick off times/dates though in Spain they don't agree them massively in advance and they get moved round a lot. Partly as a consequence of there being no real culture of away travel at football in Spain. We had to include a Sunday night in our weekend just to ensure we got to the match.  One year Barcelone played at 9.30 pm on a Sunday night when the website said a week before they were playing Saturday.

Had a great night out at Valencia last season. Loads of cheap bars next to the stadium, and the Mestalla is a sight to behold. A 5-1 home win helped as well...,
