Interesting that on my last post about Rebecca 'B-stard', the name has been amended, it's an automatic thing. If the family still use the name unaltered I bet they have terrible trouble trying to register for anything online.

Of course IT people had tremendous trouble dealing wiith the town name of Scunthorpe for similar reasons.

My dad has recently retired from teaching and has told me a few odd names he's encountered but the one that sticks in my head is a lass called Cherry Tart.

I also have a colleague called Ian Taylor. His wife is Jenny Taylor so we obviously refer to her as Genitalia. But not to her face!

I did once read in a Magazine of a woman who had just popped a sprog and had been agonising for about a week on what to call the Lad

Nice name said the Husband but is it wise with our surname .... and at the bottom of the Letter was the Name Mrs A Carter

A mate has the surname MacKenzie-DuLieu.  The DuLieu bit (pronounced duloo) is his Mother's maiden name and only appears on official documents.  He is Mackenzie as far as anyone else is concerned.  His first-born was called Finn for 2 weeks.  Nowt wrong with Finn MacKenzie.  They only realised their crass mistake when they went to register her as Finn Dulieu
