Win tickets to watch England

ON DROS, what a poor way of trying to get people to buy tcikets for stevenage match.  Can't see an extra ticket being sold.  Poor, very poor by the commercial department.

Are you sure it's not an FA promotion rather than a DRFC one?

There you go sticking up for inept office staff at club.  I have been loads of other official club sites and guess what,

WE ARE THE ONLY ONE'S I CAN FIND. :rtid:

Another director!

I am not a commercial department person, I don't know the answer but I do know that 2 tickets to watch England at Wembley will get anymore on the gate.  The cost of travel and a hotel, as its at night, isn't the way to go.

Can I suggest they offer free travel to a Rovers away game, free tickets to a future Rovers match.  Surely better than England at Wembley.

Must admit didn't look at Scunthorpe site.  So I am probably wrong but DROS makes it look as if they are doing it and are trying to get more spectators.

Not trying to make anybody look stupid, but I was 50/50 on this game and with train tickets already booked for the England game but yet to purchase the match tickets I will now be going and trying my luck for the England ones as I'll have to buy them anyway, so for me personally the promotion is a good one, gets me to a rovers game I was only 50/50 on and I could win a pair of tickets I am going to have to buy anyway!

I just can't get my head around the negativity of some people on here. I doubt the promotion will lead to very many additional sales but isn't it a nice reward for someone who took the trouble to buy a ticket for what will be a poorly-attended match?

Another director with loads of money to pay to get to Wembley.  Stop sticking up for a poor bit of commercialism.

Director? Of what precisely? Loads of money? I wish!

Actually if I won the tickets I wouldn't be interested in going to the England game, but I know a couple of friends who would be delighted with them.

And what would you say if a non-VSC member were to "stick up for a poor bit of commercialism" like this?

Besides, what does being a director of the VSC have to do with how much money you've got?
