They must be really confident to put that out. The backlash it would cause to announce that and then say tomorrow "it didn't work out" must be understood by the club. Excited

Oh god, I hope people don't get their hopes up to silly levels on here. All for the optimism but I just hope we don't see any castrating of the club if it's not who people want. Remember PD has not specifically indicated who it is

Yeah, I do understand that philsky and understand you're point - I know from what has been said everyone is expecting a 'name', it could be just a player who dickov rates to do a good job. Just hope people don't over react if it isn't a certain you know who

If Blackburn and others are tracking Waghorn the i guess that's ruled out so hard to guess who is 'close' to signing.

I'm not expecting Sharp, for one minute. The clues we've had suggest to me that Matty Fryatt is a possibility (although, depending on how you interpret them, the clues may also suggest its anyone on this forum!) and his record of consistently scoring 1 in 3 is superb.

I'm going with Derbyshire. Out of Proszwich, King Billy and Fryatt, he would be my fourth choice, so I'm trying to think the worst.
However I still feel Derbyshire would be a very good addition.

I would have thought it's obvious who the 'top target' is by now.
There have been enough clues and it's all about reading between the lines.
It's not Wag, or Pros, or the two Matts...and Dr F couldn't be more wrong.
Whether we can get him or not is another matter.
Fingers crossed and if we do I don't think anyone will be disappointed, but maybe very pleasantly surprised.

Lifelong Supporter - I wasn't expecting that one player for one reason only - the disappointment of that expectation failing. However, taking a huge leap of faith in what you say, I am now at RovCon 1
