I went there when I was going around trying to complete the 92. They were at the bottom of the fourth division and playing Darlington in midweek. I missed the first five minutes and the opening goal. I left thinking Fulham had won 2-1 only to find out it had finished 2-2 when listening to the results in the car on the way home. I drove the car and parking was an absolute nightmare. There was only just over 2,000 there that night. God knows how they cope in the Premier League.

I can't quite work out why I haven't been to see us v Fulham plenty of games from the late 60's onwards and we have a decent record against them

Likewise.

Remember a game where the ground was virtually empty - i think we lost 2-1....in the 90's ?

Went to the Cottage in the 90's to see them v Rovers (Kerry Dixon player manager didn't play as he was injured) in the old Div 4, we got battered 4-1 if memory serves me. I even bought raffle tickets so they could buy new goal nets the following season! Pre Harrods geezer obviously! Sat in the home end also as my Dad was a season ticket holder at Fulham back then.
It will be good to play them again!

Always been one of my second teams, my Grandad used to take me to the Cottage too when I was young. Great supporters and lovely , homely ground next to the Thames.
I don't really want to play them next season should we stay up but he ho they might stay up yet. Soon all the smaller unfashionable clubs will be financially squeezed out of the Prem. And Fulham is definitely in that mould. :(

I remember going there in 1994-95 and we spanked them 2-0. Graeme Jones was getting a lot of grief off the Fulham fans and when he scored he gave it back with interest. He was lucky to get away with only a booking!

Not that old H, I remember going to the Cottage to watch Fulham rlfc too. Had a good side for a while. As I lived in Chiswick it wasn't so far away so saw Rovers there most times they played during the 90's. even went there to watch George Best play out his swan song. he could still play a bit!

Saw Rovers play there a few times in the 80's and 90's. I think the first time was a night game in 81/2 season.
Never saw the Dons play at the Cottage but I did see them play several times at Chiswick Polytechnic ground, think that was the late 80's, did you see them there as well Bob ?

I was there at that match TRB, Fulham's ground was in a dilapidated state if you remember - I was sat in the Riverside stand to the left of the goal that our fans were behind, I was the ONLY one in there and most of the seats had been removed for some reason.  They had Terry Hurlock playing for them I think - dirty sod.  Before the match I saw "Diddy David" Hamilton arriving with his mates.  I think he still does the announcements down there - must be 106 now.

No Red. I never went to the Poly. I moved up to Milton Keynes for a while so that put the kybosh on that.

Remember watching Rovers at the Cottage one night game. I stood on a huge open terrace. I don't think it even had a roof over it? I'm not sure now, but we might even have won that one.
