Just noticed how congested their run-in is, what with them still being in the Cup and not playing tonight.

From Saturday, they have 19 games to play in the last 11 weeks of the season. And that assumes they get knocked outbid the Cup on Saturday. A draw then a win in the replay would give them 21 games in 11 weeks.

They are going to struggle to find consistent form with a run-in like that. Pretty much 2 games a week for the next 3 months.

In theory, yes. But if they were to get on a winning run then they'd love to be playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday.

I don't know how deep their squad is though. It would be murder for one as shallow as ours.

Well, having seen their first XI a couple if weeks ago, I doubt there's much strength in depth.

In particular, they are woefully weak up front, having just lost Kermogant.

Put it this way. I'd rather be 5 points ahead of them and have at least 3 games fewer to play than vice versa. It gives us a big advantage.

I'm with you there BST, that run in is horrendous for them. They obviously don't have the greatest of full strength squads to be where they are at the minute, and considering they have let their best assets go they could really be up sh1t creek.

Isn't there some sort of cap on amount of loanees you can sign/ have in your match day squad anyway?

My understanding is that in this "Emergency" loan period in ENGLAND, loans can only be between ENGLISH clubs. And yes there are rules preventing a host of "Loans" since Watford last season. max 5 in match day squad I think.

It's 5 I think. And due to Watford, it's the same limit on foreign loanees now too.

When we beat them the other week Powell was saying it was a game too far for them at that point.  Nowt to come, I'm afraid, the poor little lambs.

They've sold their two best players and are in freefall. I really think they are doomed and have less chance than Barnsley and Yeovil of staying up. The inadequacy of the bottom 3 when it comes to winning games makes me more optimistic by the day for our chances.
