Exactly and if you were on Rovers Player like me ...................you would have only caught snippets of it :(
Great win though and that's why it's always the right team to support. RTWD :)

I'm at work and Player was terrible tonight. It kept breaking up throughout and I din't get to listen to the last 15 minutes. What a waste of money.  I'm paying for a service that doesn't deliver what it promises.  :suicide:

Totally agree with the OP, I was convinced we'd get the winner right up until about the 87th minute then I'd written it of as not going to happen. Oh how sweet it was when it came.
Bet there's some pissed off Watford fans on the long journey home tonight.

Definitely a sending off, but I thought the ref had sent the wrong one off. Still not sure.

Mind,  I thought Copps had picked a red up for that 2 footed lunge 5 mins from the end. And I won't mention Sam's wrestling performance in the 1st half....

We got lucky with that, definitely a red card and a pen. They would of probably beaten us with even numbers

That number 28 got very lucky in avoiding a second yellow when it seemed like the ref got the wrong man and booked 18. No wonder he ran off pretty sharpish when he realised the foul had been given.

Check out the other thread with a clip of the incident.  It is a foul on the 'keeper.

But the ref gave neither as a foul and allowed play to go on. Sam recovered and fell on the ball. The Watford player did as they all did all night and bitched to the ref. Instead of playing to the whistle.

Wasn't a two footed lunge by Copps at all, for my money it was a swiping tackle taking away the legs and the ref was right to award a yellow card, nothing more and nothing less.

I will not attempt to defend Johnstone's wrestling move though!

Exactly RTR a bit of 50/50 so the ref played on.

Deeney took the ball and Johnstone , Johnstone fell onto Deeney , a bit of a tussle ensued , play on , Johnstone recovers while Deeney pleads for a penalty.

Right in front of me and was a trip (for the Team) and a Yellow all day long (not in the same league as Richies "tackle" on the Middlesbrough guy a few games ago)

Ref was inconsistent once he started making decisions that is !!! Their bloke booked for tripping Duffy was judged Yellow yet Keegan got away with a more cynical trip with their Player bearing down on goal

How "they" could deem Brown challenge in mid air as a foul was also baffling. There was a clash involving Bronys head the ball and their blokes head - and their bloke came off worst (simple as)

Home and away could have been drawn, maybe should have been

We got unlucky there and made the most of it last night. 3 points each is better than 2 each at the end of the day

I'll accept your account of it, mate. From my lofty perch in the SS I didn't have the best view and it looked like a lunge. Everyone around me was on tenterhooks as to the colour of the card coming out. I also feared the worst when Richie pushed that Watford player away in that late mêlée

I wouldn't have been surprised if Copps had been sent off, I saw it similar to Rob, a late lunge from behind that looked high.

On seeing the Johnstone 'challenge' again, from the angle on SSN it does look more like a foul on him, yet we were all stunned no penalty was given.

I saw it as a yellow and taking one for the team, having said that I thought ref was looking to even things out after half time

I've looked at the video clip of the keeper incident several times now (I couldn't make the game unfortunately) and the more I watch it the more I think it was 50/50.  At first, it does look like a foul on the keeper, but closer looking seems to show the forward won the ball.  However, his momentum then crashes him into Johnstone who falls on the forward, thereby preventing him from getting up.

At real time speed with no replays, the officials could have justifiably given a foul either way - happily for us the penalty/sending off scenario didn't happen.  Perhaps they erred on the side of caution and did nowt - which on reflection was correct?

If this had been in the Watford penalty area we would initially have been shouting for a penalty and a red card.

Happened straight in front of me. The ref got it right. (Copps incident)

Do you mean when Deeney came over and picked him up I think it was a sneaky little stamp that Husband tried to make a meal out

Didn't Humey receive a second yellow for doing just the very same thing last season.
