I've said it before many times & I'll say it again, just look at the fuxtures, they're in our favour big time!

This Saturday, Blackpool are away at leicester - you could only see that going one way surely!? It's Millwall vs Charlton - South East London derby with everything to play for -  a draw is likely and would suit us down to the ground. Yeovil are away at QPR - again, you could only see one outcome there on paper, although, QPR have hit a dip in form, but a draw would suffice. Sheff Wed vs Birmingham - That's a big game as I didn't realise Wendies were only three points in front of us and as of before kick off last night Birmingham were on the same points with a greater GD, Macheda did the business though!  Also, we've got both teams to play at home shortly and our home form is excellent. Finally, Dingles are away at Watford. Watford will be hurting from Tuesday night after losing in the last minute to 'TLOD', so, Dingles are going to feel their wrath I think!

I could go on & on & on, but if you study the fixture list like I have been doing (sad t**t!) then things are looking good.

I think our biggest quality which will prove to save us this season is our ability to shake-off a poor result and come back with a win or unexpected draw.

Beating Huddersfield, and the way we did it, after losing to Bournemouth in such a way is one example of this.

In the past, under SO'D for example, we would find ourselves on long runs of poor results whereas supporters we would just not see where our next win was going to come from, it seems every game is winnable, so in our run in, at the end of the season, a tonking won't necessarily mean we're going to lose the next game. In my opinion that is a very good quality to possess

I think you've forgotten the run from 3/12/13 to 11/01/14- P8. W. 0 D. 2. L 6. During which time we scored a mere 3 goals. We had two bad runs under SOD in the Championship. The one in 2008-09 when we were playing well but couldn't buy a win, then the one from Jan 2011 onwards which resulted in his sacking. At other times we were pretty much as we are now- win one, lose one.

Rovers' win over Huddersfield followed "the Baron's Law" - i.e. a team that suffers a real leathering usually wins the next match. Barnsley did exactly the same thing. The real achievement was to win on Tuesday as well- that sort of thing helps to build confidence among the players that they can string together a run of results.

We rarely had "win one, lose one" with O'Driscoll. We usually had long runs of relegation form, suddenly switching to astonishingly good runs of promotion form and back again.

With most of the bottom four clubs only having 11-12 games left, each is going to have to average 1.5 points per game to get to 45 points and stand any realistic chance of staying up; 45 points would have kept you up in 2 out of the last 3 seasons (in fact 43 points would probably have kept you up).

To put this in context, that's 'edge of the play-offs' form and I just don't see it happening - famous last words - from the sides below us. We, on the other hand need to get 9 points from 11 games to get to the same total. Definitely doable given our terrific home form - famous last words again - so long as we can keep the current team free of injuries and suspension and get hold of (yet) another centre half.
