I for one would be lost without these regular Dons updates. It's great that, on this forum, there are now already three separate threads concerning this one match, all telling me exactly the same thing, but with the words in a slightly different order.

Go the Dons.

Col

With respect I don't think you are seeing the bigger picture here.  Threads about the Dons on the main forum can be easily ignored but they might have the effect of raising awareness about how well the Dons are doing to our supporters.  This will potentially be to the benefit of the Rovers if we can start getting a few of them through the gates.  I was there today and there were hundreds of Featherstone fans all putting money into the club...the Rovers club.  The more success the Dons have the more they will get these big away followings and the more Rovers and the Dons will benefit.  Big price to pay having a thread on the forum?????

By the way the Dons were absolutely brilliant today!

So anything that puts money, directly or indirectly, into the Rovers should be on here then?

If that's the case, I look forward, over the next few weeks, to posts on:

A night of swinging music at Keepmoat Stadium's 60's & 70's Party Night
An evening with top psychic medium Andy Beasley
Wedding receptions
Proms and leavers balls
Treadmills
Free Wi-Fi, contemporary décor and in built PA systems

Amongst other things.

I've adopted your rationale sf9944. We are one and the same.

We need more posts about car-boot sales and  social housing on here as well.

I feel we're being very unfair to Polypipe and One Call here, they put money into the club far in excess of individual fans. Let's have some threads about plastic piping systems and car insurance.

I don't mind a healthy debate and I understand where you are coming from.

However the point is that there are plenty of people who read this forum who love Rovers but also love sport and love Doncaster.  It is likely that there will be people who read this forum who follow the Dons but don't go to games....but might with a bit of encouragement.  This will benefit the Rovers.  It is less likely given that this is a sporting forum that readers will be enticed to attend clairvoyant evenings in the same way.

For this reason I believe that your argument is flawed  ;)

I love Doncaster Rovers and keeping Chickens. We should have more poultry based threads to cater for those that enjoy football and keeping Chickens.

If I can attract just one more person to the Keepmoat Father's Day lunch in June then all this will have been worth it.

Perhaps we could take it to the dedicated Dons forum?

Out of interest does the Keepmoat actually have free wifi?

My 3G never seems to work inside a football stadium for whatever reason and I like to take a look at the table as it stands during half time (and it usually takes me about that long to load the bloody thing in a ground).

I think they do in the conference facilities / restaurant. Not for us plebs in the stands though, could you imagine the bandwidth that 10,000 people suddenly checking the half-time scores on their phones would use?

Isn't it possible to ignore a thread that is obviously going to be about something you don't like?

Yes William it is.

Isn't it possible for people to observe and understand the titles of the respective forum sections?

I dunno. It's not something that has ever got me particularly worked up.

If summat is posted with a header that doesn't interest me, I don't read it.

Is your opinion on this the only one that counts? How can it possibly bother you so much whether people make the occasional post about the Dons on the main forum?

At least if you are going to debate this try to present a reasoned argument!  In all your posts on the subject you have failed to do that.  Its clear that there is a level of interest in the Dons among Rovers supporters.  I go back to the point that growing this could help the Rovers in the long run.  How could you object to that?

Some people do not look anywhere else but the chat forum. I am now not looking at this forum again as you are all so self centered. I am taking this forum off my favourites list and WILL NOT be renewing my membership.

I forgot BigCol, you can take your self centeredness and stick it as far up your rectum as you can. It is obvious you are the total arbiter of this site so enjoy talking to yourself.

Feels good to get that off my chest.

 Come on you DONS.

No, he just thinks he is. Like other posters have said.....
A considerable number of people on here ARE interested.
It is an integral part of SPORT club Doncaster. Nothing to do with car boots, clairvoyants or Fathers Day.
If its got The Dons in the header, don't read it and mind your own bloody business.
Are you trying to take over from Mick as the resident arsehole on this forum, at least Mick is occasionally funny. You're just so far up your own self centred arse, it's not true. Who do you think you are ?

It looks to me as if the title of "resident arsehole" is already taken. Keep it up.
