I always back to first 33/1 shot I see in the paper on the day of the race. Give me a few winners over the years and a few close calls.

First year I did it, Maori Venture won. In 2000, I did Papillon. It was the day I moved house so rushed in the bookies in the morning, put my bet on and then started moving. I got the TV set up just as they were on the second ciccuit as Papillon won. I was jumping around like a mad man and then couldn't believe it had been backed down to about 9/1 and I hadn't take the price.

I backed Balthazar King last year and it finished in 15th. Its running again this year, its still young, deadly quick on the jumps, has Aintree experience and won all of its 4 races this season. At 20-1 I couldn't say no.

Teaforthree is favorite for a reason at 7-1 (currently), finished 3rd last year and should finish in the top 4 with ease so definitely worth a bet, even if its only each way.

Lucky for you all I'm an expert when it comes to horse racing. I'll tell you now 2 horses that will not win are Tidal Bay and Long Run. There are 5 horses with a great chance of finishing in the first 6. They are:

Monbeg Dude. 12/1
Big Shu 18/1
Pineau De Re 25/1
Mountainous 40/1
Battle Group 50/1

Most bookies only pay out on the first 4 places. Betvictor will pay out on the first 6 places so they are the best bookie to bet with. I suggest a 10 point each way bet on each of the 5 horses I've tipped and you will make a good profit. For me a point is £10 so I'll be betting £200 on each selection costing me £1000.

A point could be as little as 10p meaning a total outlay of  £10. I'll leave it to you to decide how much you want to wager, but trust me, it will be like printing money if you follow my advice.

I use a very scientific method when deciding who can win and who can't. Trust me I know what I'm talking about.

Teaforthree won't win. Carrying too much weight.

Five years ago I would have agreed pal. However, the handicap has gone up and a couple have won over 11st in last few years.

The Package around 25/1,in it's last race Holywell won(won yesterday at Aintree),Ma Filleue was second(won the Topham),the Package came third, could The Package complete three success' out of that one race,i reckon it's got a decent chance.

A nice little profit of £2325. Thank you very much Victor. Hope some of you took the advice and made a good few quid. I'll let you know what to back next year as well.

IC1967 - you have said you will always answer a question.

Question - did you change the list of horses after the race had already finished to include the winner?

Mick, i actually had a good weekend bar the rovers result. I also actually made a profit on the national of £545. I know f all about horse racing. But BET365 gave me a bet where they would refund half my stake if it was a loser up to £125. So i backed Balthazar king £125 ew on bet365, then laid the winner bet on betfair, but not the each way bet. Basically i was free rolling, just needed it to come in top 5.

But what cheesed me off is i thought i missed out on another £200 when i thought i had missed read your tips.

The bigger picture here is mick, is after what you have done, any forum post now from yourself, may lack any credibility.

Point taken Prez. I like the way you handled that Bet365 offer. I'll pm you a way of making money from bookies that is cast iron guaranteed to make a profit (along the lines you've already done). You will only lose with this system if you make a mistake through human error.
