Mistakes changes games!

And Husbands decision to be Maldini on the edge of the box was one humungus mistake, well in control of the game and we get a schoolboy error like that, which sent Rovers into default panic mode!

And also we saw today why Copps isn't a full back, awful positioning for the second goal and didn't learn from it, being caught in an identical fashion later on

Have people realised that Hubby can't defend yet?

It's a simple truth, a bad decision changed the game. Dust ourselves down and go again.

Well that's my Keepmoat good run gone. Have not seen us lose there until today. Stupid mistake by Hubby. Second goal could and should have been cleared and the third goal came from a free kick that never was. The Birmingham winger dived right in front of us. No contact from the Rovers players, right in front of the lino.

But that's the beauty of the game isn't it? We *should* have had that wrapped up. Their keeper made two or three very good saves. We were the better team for 2/3 of that game. Birmingham very, very poor, and their supporters were a disgrace.

As for the Rovers team. Well, Brown was excellent. Billy looked a yard off the pace to me. Cotterill goes missing for long periods. Sam solid. Hubby and Coppe - schoolboy errors that were punished. Furman isn't up to the task. Keegan did OK. Duffy seemed off his game.

I'd hate to watch Birmingham every week. Dire.

Roll on Tuesday - I have a feeling that we'll beat Bolton.

They offered nothing until Husband gifted them a route back in. Absolutely abysmal.

Have seen him do something similar 4/5 times this season. I can't believe the management team haven't drummed into him by now that he should not try to be too clever in such dangerous positions. Just clear it for ***** sake.
I'm beginning to think we should give Stevens a start until he sorts himself out

For what its worth i thought it was a foul for brums first by macheda(however tv replay will give me better view) Second was route one shambolic defending but it was an area birmingham kept looking to exploit throughout the game so had obviously spotted a flaw for roversin that are. The third wasa extremely soft free kick , that said we should be able to defend a ball in the boxa bit better regardless .

In all a game we were so comftable in we have gave away points that with a bit better nouse and luck we would have had. A frustrating day but hopefully rareing to go on tuesday to cement our championship status.

We went to pieces after the equaliser, bad mistake by Husband but we offered nothing after it as a team, giving them the initiative to take the points, very frustrating. We have been beaten 3-1 by the worst side I have seen all season.

Husband made a mistake. Duffy was appalling all the time he was on the pitch. Robinson made an eqully poor hash of an easy chance. Drop Husband? Nah.

Quinny would have cleared their second goal if he had gone with his left foot instead of waiting to get it on his preferred right.... i think the replays will prove this.

He did save us from being 2 down earlier on when Macheda took advantage of Copps poor positioning.

Agreed. I thought he had it all under control. I was astounded when he put it in his own net.

Lucas Neil was our best player by a mile.
Agree about Duffy though.

I think today we looked good down the spine of the team it was both flanks that let us down...

Birmigham played an ugly and cynical brand of football I would hate to have to watch evrry week . Their keeper made some great saves and tthe ref allowed them to get away with some very dirty  play

They don't seem to realise we're on the same number of points as them.

Copps didn't put in his greatest display for his 400th appearance.

But it's wrong to say we need a result on Tuesday, we probably need one more win to really see us safe, we have a few opportunities to find that win.

Zigic changed the game when he came on.

We looked scared of him even though he's crap, and we lost our concentration on the other elements of the game as a result and made the mistakes.

Once we made the first mistake, the heads went down and we became more worried about him (the great fouling bas**rd) and continued with the mistakes.

We threw the game away today which is a shame after getting a great result at Leeds last week. Husband has potential but, when all's said and done he's still a kid learning the pro game. If Jones had been in the team he'd have just barked at him to get rid.

I think the pre-match adjustments threw one or two of the players; what is it with us and centre-halves in warm ups. I'd be surprised if Meite plays again for us this season. His hamstring has been touch and go for the last 3 weeks and it sounds like it's finally popped. However, what we really missed was Wellens. I just hope he's ok for the Bolton, Ipswich and Millwall games because we need to take points from these. In fact we need to take points as long as we have a team because I don't see any quality in reserve or on the bench. Lord knows what we'll do if we get a major injury or suspension to one of the first team now.

3-4 points should see us right. The bottom three still have it all to do and - famous last words - I'd be surprised if any of them put a 3-4 game winning run together which is what they need to do.

Is Tamas back next game?

BigH- I agree with most of what you say, excpet that Husband should know by now that you don't fanny about in that sort of area.

I like the lad but at times he's an accident waiting to happen.

Apparently Meite felt his calf in the warm-up and was pulled out as a precaution. He may even be Ok for Tuesday (as may Wellens). If he's not I'd put McCullough in. We lacked creativity with Wellens out and Coppinger on defensive duties. Have to say that he was as badly at fault on their second goal as Husband was on the first.

Have to admit you're right TRB. A case of me giving Coppinger the benefit of the doubt because it's not really his position.

Oh, I'm willing to cut him some slack over the error he made. He's not a full back and he's wasted in that role.
