All I want to know is: is anything being done at the club to sort this mess out? Or are the staff twiddling their thumbs waiting for something to happen?

At least when we were in a similar situation 2 years ago, we knew that Saunders and the staff were pretty much glued to the phone trying to fix it. Is that the case now or are we just plodding along?

Assets can be sold for cash Kato, but I'm guessing the FA didn't want to wait.
I doubt very much TB has £600m in CASH, most of it will be assets

Assets can also be borrowed againt MFD.  Seems like JR wasn't prepaired to do that with his.

I guess Wellens has twice been sold the 'We're going for the Prem' line and twice it's gone tits up. It's also clear that his loyalty to the club - in words and deeds - is entirely reliant on his weekly income.

Obviously I understand that the world does work like that on occasion - especially when you're a footballer. But I think he could - and should - have chosen his words more carefully. He's not a stupid man, after all...

Situation wasn't this bad 2 years ago. We'd made many signings by now

The fact he said basically the young lads are no good didn't fill me with confidence either. We lost Bailey to a direct local rival, a team that will pushing for promotion for L1 also. He can't have been wanting the earth in wages.
My info is that we may be losing 2 more tomorrow!

Yes rumour is that the owners are upping the enthusiasm and ambition elements of players contracts in a bid to keep hold of the better players! :)

I know that. We were still without players in key positions by the beginning of August though.

League 1 wages, League players... these lads cant honestly think we'll pay above the wage structure in the current circumstances.

im disapointed Wellens gave this interview, knowing the meeting is still going on, it seems a blatant, hey league, im free type of interview.

whatever happens, we need players on the ground now, not words, i dont want to know the ins and outs anymore, just get players through door and lets survive this season, if we go down again because of this, we may not recover.

For the final time its not the FA! Its the Football League!

These rules have been in place for the last four years, surely a club Chairman should know what he has to do.

Was not a change put in place when Super Mario bought Leeds Martin.

No. The same rules applied then. All that's changed is the consolidation of those rules across the 3 leagues.

Cellino failed the Owners and Directors test, JR failed the FFI.

Where can I find data on this FFI thing. Absolutely nothing on FL website.

Section 16 of the FL rules. Specifically section 16.17

And this;

16.21.2 the Executive shall have the power to require the Person who proposes to acquire or has acquired Control to appear before it and to provide evidence of the source and sufficiency of any funds which that Person proposes to invest in or otherwise make available to the Championship Club.

If I were a gambling man I'd have a little wager on that but I'm not. Let's see if you are right or it is a more local rival

Like someone said earlier, he signed it.
But that's not the point, the point is we should be trying to keep him, and if we can't afford him them so be it. But nobody is saying anything other than the players
